So, apparently it is the publishing apocalypse. Except for Hachette Book Group. They all got extra bonuses. Stupid Twilight.

I dunno. I mean, HMH has been reeling from disaster to disaster like a drunken sailor, even before everything went wacky. And the stuff at S&S and RH wouldn't be too eye-batting if it happened during prosperous times. I keep reminding myself that this all looks a lot scarier than (I hope) it is because a) it all freakishly happened on the same day, and b) things are so scary in general right now.

It doesn't help that Publishers Marketplace was calling it "Black Wednesday."

And I didn't even include the news about book sales and all the failing book store chains...
